Protein Skimmer Recomendations?

I'm setting up a 135 G FOWLR tank which will (hopefully) eventually be turned into a reef tank. I've got every peice of equipment figured out and all but purchased with the exception of the protein skimmer. Every time I think I have the answer, I read a very negative review and it scares me off of that particular product. Right now I have my sights set on a Aqua Medic Turboflotor 1000 Multi. I haven't read anything bad yet, but I was hoping someone here might have experience with this, or a similar model. I'd also welcome any other recomendations from people who have had success. Thanks in advance.

have u checked out aqua c ev series..i have a ev-120 that i love...easy to tune, clean, and setup...also try msx..good luck..

MSX 200....most effecient skimmer for the money.

I have an aqua medic turboflotor multi on my 90g. It does an ok job but is nothing compared to the MSX 200/octo 200. I am upgrading to a 120 and bought an MSX 200. This skimmer is a beast for only $300.
