protein skimmer ?

i need a good external protein skimmer for my 55 gallon for around $100.does anyone know a good one to get

Ask your local fish store if they have any used ones they would be willing to sell. I have got one this way I paid $125 for a skimmer that was being used at the store that they sell new for $295 he even gave me the pump too. I also got a refugium already established in his reef for $60. Its well worth a try if your funds are tight.

some people will recommend a seaclone. i had one and was not impressed with it at all. for a little extra money i would recommend the aquaC remora hang on.

I second the Aqua C notion...its been very good to me...I've had the clone for a minute...then the CPR bakpak...and neither do what this thing does.

thanks im going to buy a wet/dry and a protein skimmer comes built in.its a venturi Protein Skimmer is that any good.
