protein skimmer

i have a 55 gallon tank with a sea clone protein skimmer. I have a sea apple that feeds on phytoplankton will the protein skimmer draw out the liquified plankton and starve my critters?

actually it may remove quite a bit of it, but........, it can be easily supplimented by adding some to the water for food

When I feed my Filter feeding Critters...I turn off my Skimmer for about a half hour or so...Just a suggestion..GL
