Protein Skimmer

I currently have a 75 gal. tank with
(1) Clown Triggerfish
(1) Engineer Goby
(1)Choc Chip starfish
(3) Blue damsels
Lots of Live Rock
crabs and snails
I do not have a protein skimmer and havent had any problems with tanks water, has been set up since April. Is this something I will still need to purchase? My LFS told me that I do not need one unless I get a lot more fish in the tank. I am really only looking to get two more fish at the most. I would just hate to change something if everything is going so well.
Thanks!

I would definitely get one. You will never be able to replace a good protein skimmer with a power filter or canister filter. Make sure that you get a good one such as Octopus skimmers, ASM, or Euroreef if you have the money.

You don't have a lot of livestock in that 75, but wait until you do get a skimmer then get it broken in and producing. You will be amazed at what it pulls out of the water. It's another tool to help keep your tank water as clean as possible and is highly recommended!
If you do go ahead and get one, remember that it can take a week or so for it to start really working well so be sure to give it some time.
