Ive heard that Octopuses, AquaCs and ASM are good brands. I am planning on upgrading my seaclone to an Octopus when I get the money.

I'm thinking of getting a euroreef
Euro Reefs are great! I love my RS100! I think youd be good with a Euro Reef RS 80. I have the RS100 on my 65g that has a 20g sump/fuge.
If you wanted, you could look at the MSX Xtreme skimmers too. The MSX 160 has a very small footprint
You dont need to spend anywhere near 1000 bucks.

I was thinking of gettin a new ps when i got some money. I seen some wrote about Aquac, I was thinking of that or a red sea prizm for hob. any know know which would be better for a 40g. Its between the Prizm Deluxe or a Aquac Remora

Don't get the Prizm deluxe. They are horrible skimmers.

How so? just tring to get the info. looking at the pros and con of both.
Tring to get smart

I had one of the Prizm Skimmers at first in my 55 gal and found it to be a bad skimmer. It didn't produce as much waste as it should've. I emptied the cup once every month and a half. It also didn't produce many bubbles in the reaction chamber. All, in all, I wouldn't buy it.

So are there any cons to maxima or euroreef skimers?
Sorry, forgot to check this thread. My ER RS-100, like all in sump needlewheel skimmers, there can be some salt creep in the air line tube that can effect performance. I get around this by microwaving a small bit of RODI water in a cup and sticking the end of the airline tube into it so it sucks a small bit of water in through the tube. it cleans it out quickly. I do this once every couple months, whether I think it is needed or not.
Plus, there is some variation with performance when the height of the water in the sump changes. If you use auto top off, there is no problem. I just try to add my topoff water daily. but even the fluctuation doesnt seem to affect it as much as the my old Coralife superskimmer (CSS).
But these are issues with all similar skimmers. I have much less issues with the airline tube on the ER than I did with my CSS.
You can look into the Gate valve modification which makes adjusting the skimmer easier, but I havent done that yet. Once the skimmer passed its break-in period (like all skimmers), I dont have to adjust the level anymore.
I was impressed with the build quality and the materials. All around solid skimmer.
