Protein skimmer????

About to purchase a new in sump protein skimmer looking for advice on what brands to purchase! Not wanting big brand name but affordable good skimmers! It's for a 115 galling live rock fish only aquarium!

I have a reef octopus on my 120. It has been doing a good job for over 2 years.

Reef Octopus is probably the best bang for buck. When my EShoppes craps out that is probably what I will switch to.

Is bigger better? Or can you get too big of one for the tank? Looks like the two reef octopus ones I'm looking at either say 90 for medium load or 150

It depends on what size sump you have. I would include that in your total gallons of water volume. Just saying.

You also need to make sure the footprint of the skimmer will fit in your sump.
