I'm new to this hobby. I have a 40gl tank and just purchased a prism deluxe skimmer and was wondering how i know when it is adjusted properly. Such as overskimming and underskimming? Thanks

The collection cup should be getting a nice brown/green liquid yucky stuff. It should not be clean and clear. You should only need to empty it out every 3 days to a week. You can adjust the collection cup height and the bubble input to achieve this.
