protein skimmers

i am having a hard time keeping fine bubbles from getting out of my protein skimmer i keep adjusting & it does not stop. i'm using a prizm high effeciency skimmer. any suggestions?

Sometimes it takes a few days for the skimmer to set up and work properly. After that the bubble should be down to a minimum.

thanks, i end up cutting a piece of carbon pad & placed in section where water returns & it stopped bubbles. is this ok?

Someone else is going to have to answer that. I am not sure.

The carbon's fine, but if your tank is new (not just the skimmer) it could take a few weeks before they stop.
