Protein Skimmers......?

In order to keep the tank healthy is a protein skimmer required? I have a 55 gallon tank with 6 fish and one anemone

If you have an anemone, then you should have a protein skimmer, imo. You don't HAVE to have one, but it is something that you should look into purchasing.
