Protien Skimmer

I installed a new berlin turbo skimmer four weeks ago, it has yet to produce a full cup of skum? It's making plenty of foam in the chamber, just doesn't reach the top level and cup.
Any feedback would be great.

Hi Spartan,
Here are a couple of things for you to check, If the foam is not making it to the collection cup:
Make sure that the venturi tube screw is open enough to allow air into the skimmer and that your pump is powerful enough. Is the skimmer in your sump? Or is it above your aquarium. Explain your setup. Also make sure that your skimmer's internal plastic tubes are properly inserted, If they are not, your skimmer will not produce any foam in the collection cup.

yeah, is your inner tube properly seated? i found i had to wrap a little teflon tape around the bottom of mine in order for it to seat snug in the bottom. what kind of pump are you running on it? have you tried opening the air intake a little?
