I noticed you are in N.O. Have you been to coral connection in Kenner? I stopped by one day when down there for a wedding. Those guys seemed somewhat knowledgeable about systems. They might be able to help you out with a good skimmer. Of course, they are most likely going to try and sell you one they make. I don't know about their prices, but I did see a few good skimmers in the store. I have a 75g reef and am in the market for a new skimmer as well. Good Luck!
