fish only or reef??
if a reef, then you definitley need a skimmer too, the nitrate levels will be hard enough tomaintain with a wet dry, you need the skimmer to help with them, in a fish only then nitrates are not quite as crucial, so you may be able to get by without, but i would stilllhave one
IMO, you don't really need the wet dry anyhow, i would put the money into a good skimmer and a dsb(if you don't already have one) instead, but that is jsut my opinion
oh, and your sand bed and lr would make a much efficient bio filter than a wet dry(no outside filter needed)

anthem, just how would i hook up a skimmer? does it need an overflow box as well? also what kind do you recomend. im really considering buying berlin turbo becouse i plan to house a banded bomboo shark. so i think the more filtration the better. the bigger wet dry cost like 100 more!and its only rated for a 100 gallon and i think an extra 200 on a nice skimmer would really benafit my water quality. any info on skimmer set up would be helpful. ;)

Is this shark going in the 75? If so you are already running into problems unless you have MAJOR plans in the near near future.
