Protien Skimmers

I just have some general questions about them..like what do they do, whats the recommended size for one...should you have one for every tank ..or just certain ones...? basically i would like to know ..everything thanks.

Skimmer sizes vary depending on the manufacturers and yes every tank regardless of FO, FOWLR, or Reefs will benefit from a skimmer
