Now that this PS3 has been out for a lil bit, i want to see who likes what better. I like the PS3 shinny outside coat and system look. But 360 has halo which beats everything.

I like my 360. I loved Halo but never got into Halo2. Another good game is Gears of War. Both are published by M$ and will never be on a PS3.

I like the PS3 for the blu-ray dvd player alone, nevermind the games. Blu-Ray players go for over $1,000.00. The PS3 sells for $500.00. Worth it for the dvd player alone.

I disagree, but the same for the HD/DVD with 360..High Definition Movies are along way from where they need to be as far as a separation from a regular DVD that is upconverted..I can not tell the difference in the three

the blu-ray disks can hold up to 83 gigs, HD disks can only hold 50 something gigs. blu-ray is sony's version of HDDVD's

Remember these sony formatts?
UMD or even better yet what about BETA
Don't buy a PS3 for blue ray support because if history repeats itself, it will fail and HD DVD will be the format of choice

You are not telling me anything new..I am saying the difference in the movies arent worth it..When they start selling a game that takes 50 or 80 gigs, then they will pay for themselves

I was answering the poll question, not saying you knew or didnt know. For me the blu-ray player alone is worth getting the PS3. It might not be the same for you. The PS3 also uses an NVIDIA graphics card, XBOX 360 uses ATI and I prefer NVIDIA over ATI any day.

Haven't played the 360 yet. Don't have any desire to right now either. Halo 3 will change that though. I'm a big fan of all things Halo.
I do love my PS3 though. Resistance: Fall of Man is one of the best FPS created. The current line-up of available games is quite pathetic though. With really only 1 game worthy of a "buy it now" praise - that being the aformentioned one, after beating the crap out of that, my PS3's only use recently has been playing PS2's Scarface.
Good thing I bought that Wii.

This is old technology. I have one but let me tell you something. Sony already has the ps4 made or whatever they call it. In japan there is a huge vault filled with new technology, for the upcoming years. A couple of years ago 4-5 I was watching a show and they had camera phones in this vault. Looky now we have camera phones.

PS4 will be launched by Sony but not until at least 2010, claims the Vice President of Technology for Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, Paul Holman. What will happen between then and now is that Sony will introduce a series of firmware upgrades that will give the PS3 more media centre capabilities.
