I had one in a 10 gallon tank. A purple stripe psudochromis. It's the yellow one with the purple stripe on his forehead. I left for the weekend and came home. It killed my coral banded shrimp and 2 green chromis. I think they are jerks!! Mean fish.

I have an orchid dottback, which I believe is the same thing, and he gets along with everyone. No problems. And I do have a flame angel also.

I had a bi-color pseudochromis for about 3 days. I woke up one day and he was no where to be found, that was 3 weeks ago. I assume he got a little to frisky with my CBS. I think they tend to be a little aggressive towards invertebrates and it didn't like my purple firefish much either.

They are known shrimp hunters {at least some are ad bristle worms as well} also they seem to go after chromis too.

I have a Bi color which killed close to $100.00 worth of stock.
I finally removed it, which is no easy task. Have you considered a Royal Gramma?
They are really nice looking, hardy and not nearly as mean.
I know my Bi color is not the same exact fish, but they are part of the same family. I have heard they are mostly mean killers.
But they sure are pretty!!
I moved mine into a tank with my mantis shrimp, and it's doing fine. He can hold his own.

my bi-color killed 2 firefish, 3 shrimp, and pestered a few other fish until he got used to them., i wouldnt recommend them unless they are with larger and more active fish. definitely not firefish and they are mean with inverts.
