Pseudocromis - how many?

We are in the process of re-setting up our tank.
I love these fish but read only 1 per tank. Does that mean only one of this type of species per tank or one per color per tank? I would love to have the fridmani, indigo dottyback, royal dottyback, and the springeri in my 125 gal tank. We also love tangs and would like 1 angel fish but not sure if it is compatible. Thanks for the help. Also need vho lights & protein skimmer, where should I get these....cheap?
Thanks,
Tina

1 fish per tank. Psuedo's are extremely territorial. Mine has occasional standoffs w/ my Pygmy Angel, and doesn't much care for the firefish. In a 125, if you have LOTS of rockwork, you might be able to get away with 2, provided they're the same size, different species and introduced at the same time. It's a risk I wouldn't take.
Tangs and angels can be hit or miss as well, but less so in a tank that size, assuming the fish are fairly small when you get them. I'd get the tang first personally, as Angels are typically the more aggressive of the two.
Hope this helps.

Emil

Thanks! I have had 2 at the same time a long time ago and seemed that one would stay hid, to the point we thought he was dead until when we dismantled all the rock and found him. I think they are so pretty & colorful just hate to have only 1. We also had a yellow tang and a blue regal (Dory) and loved them. Do you recommend any particular type of angel or just stick with the tangs. What other fish would you recommend with the tangs?

Then get another tank

I can't recommend on Tangs. I love them, but I've never had great success keeping them. I do know they need a well established tank and a variety of algae based foods. I've kept Blue Regals with some success, but only in fish only tanks. The main trouble with Tangs (to me) is that they're ich magnets, and having a reef tank at present, I won't take that risk.
W/ Angels, it depends. Are you talking about dwarfs or the big ones? Either way, almost none of them are guaranteed reef safe, but that pretty much comes down to the individual - i.e. one Lemonpeel will devour your corals, where another could care less.
My personal favorites are the Flame, Regal and Scribble. Regal and Scribble are not easy to keep, however. (Also not easy to find and pricey.) As with Pseudo's, two Angels in the same tank is a potential problem.
I'd recommend doing some serious research and plan accordingly. It makes a difference what order the fish are added into the tank, etc.

that aint happening. If your LUCKY you can add two at the same time and one stays on one side and the other stays on his side. Option two is a mating pair which will probably keep your other fish on one side of the tank. even attempting more than two is foolish and two arent garaunteed and must be added at the same time. tangs and angels are fine together. you may get the same fighting you get anytime you introduce live stock to established stock but there's no overt incompatibility (like multiple dottybacks
)
VHO and protein skimmers can be found at your usual popular online vendors at competitive pricing (marine depot, aquacave, premium aquatics, dr foster and smith, hellolights, here ect ect).

IMO 4 in a 125 would be fine actually. I added a dwarf angel to a 150g after another had been in there for a year when everyone said it could not be done. I have had a purple psuedo going on 4 years now and he is defensive but not really aggressive. I would say try it and see what happens. My purple basically stays in one corner of the tank so i think each would pick a quadrant and hang. Good luck.
