PSP Question

Is the only way to watch movies on the PSP to buy them or is there a way to rip movies from a DVD and watch them on a PSP?

I wouldn't get a psp to watch movies. You can get a dvd portable player for less than 70 bucks around here now. Get a psp for other reasons, like internet capable game play. The volume IMO is not good enough to watch a movie, don't go loud enough. However the picture is outstanding, esp for a small screen.

I wasn't getting it to just watch movies. Just looking at another feature to know if I wanted one. I think I'm going to pass. I just can't figure out what I want for Christmas. My wife gives me the look every year when I can't think of anything. She gets annoyed because anytime I think of something I want, I just go ahead and buy it. Maybe something for the motorcycle. I was thinking of some flushmount turn signals and integrated taillight to get rid of the bug eye blinkers on my 1000rr.

There are new media packages out right now. I did not have a chance to look them over completly, but it looks like they contain the software to transfer the video.. One comes with a 2gb card..
I did not take the time to look closer as my son is in charge of any further purchases for his PSP.
