I have a feeling in a short time you will find out the reason for the Pork Puffing up. Think of it as stress reaction being with a clown trigger who blows bubbles out its butt.

it,s not the clowntrigger , the puffer has done this before the clowntrigger and it is funny because he,ll blow up and than bounce around the tank and than swim , it is crazy but the clowntrigger never bothers him nor does the hum hum , the only thi9ng when it,s feeding time i hav to feed the puffer on one side and the rest on the other i hasv seen the puffer bite the other fish when it,s feeding time

Obviously the puffer is stressed about something. Is the tank too small, over populated, or of poor water quality? I'm not trying to knock on you but he is getting the stress from somewhere. Could be the tank is in a busy location, I don't know, but puffing up is not something puffers do for enjoyment. And if he isn't puffing up because of his fear of the clown trigger then he will some day when the clown grows larger. Because 9 out of 10 times you can bet on the fact that the clown is gonna kill him. A puffer (probably knowing this) will puff up d/t this rational fear. Unless of course these are a couple of the very few fish you have and they have plenty of personal space. Still, it is widely known that you don't mix triggers and puffers. HTH

Skirk has said it for me. I was hinting at that in my first post. In the reply I caught the fact that there is also a 2nd trigger in the tank. I have preached what skirk is saying so often I decided to pass on doing so but skirk came back and did it for me. He is right of course but I feel that it is hard to get it across to aggressive hobbiest.

Sounds like you are getting some enjoyment out of him blowing up. I have to agree with skirk on this one and that he is being stressed. Puffers don't puff up for no reason as skirk said in the previous post.
Be sure to check all water parameters and watch closely to what is going on in there. Maybe the clown IS bothering him when you are not watching. Find out what is going on so you can correct it. Laughing about it is not going to help matters.

i think it is something else becasue he is the most aggressive fish in the tank i thought that it was the clowtrigger when you guys told me but i hav watched them for hours and hours but no one bothers him at all it is wierd, i hav to see what happens but i know for sure my cleaner is getting the crap biten out of him i know it,s the clowntrigger

cleaner is gone eaten by the hum hum and the clown and the porky ,they are looking at the blue damsel next for food , and the yellow must be *********.

clowntrigger2k, if your trigger was biting at the cleaner then don't you see the connection? Chances are, your clown isn't too large yet or he would be probably picking at more then just a cleaner. Goodluck.

first sorry for the bad mouth :D second i hav been watching to see what happens as soon as i see the puffer get hurt i,ll put him in another tank , but yesterday while eating the cleaner fish the puffer bit the two triggers but i thank you for the info
