Lions sometimes sting puffers during feeding time. The lions stitting there waiting for food and the puffer runs him over for the food and gets stung. Just feeding habbits. Its almoast enivatble.
I've read about puffers being stung, but not sure how common it happens. I would think if you fed the puff first on the opposite side of the tank and then the lion with a feeder stick it would work fine. Some puffers will nip at lions fins. I believe FMarini stated that porcupines usually do best with lions, and russles/volitans have a much higher chance of being nipped than dwarf fuzzys/dwarf zebras. Bo
I keep a red volitan with a valentini puffer. They both pretty much ignore each other. I always feed the lion first and then feed the puffer and trigger next.
Nope, the dog and the pork will fight. There is a good chance the dog would kill the pork. I'm not sure what they would do with a Valintini, maybe it would be ok because of its diminutive size, but I'm not real sure. Better safe than sorry. Bo
