Puffer and Starfish????????

Here is a question for everyone, Do you think I can put a 4-5 inch choc star fish in my 55 gallon tank with a 3-4 inch porc puffer? I have not added one because I am pretty sure they are know to pick at them. But my puffer is so calm, I have emralds, a small 3 stripe and 10 hermits and he doesn't bother anything at all, just swims around minding his own buissness. I feed him every night and he eats out of my hand with no problem at all.

Regardless of how peaceful he is with the hermits, your puffer may be aggressive with the starfish because you will have to feed the starfish. I know when I had my puffer, he would always bother my starfish when it came to feeding time and it came to a point where I had to put my starfish in refuge because the puffer was bothering him too much.

My puffer waits until the light go out before he will come out. When the daylights go out he gets up from behind the rock and moseys around for a couple minutes then he makes his way behind the rock to the middle of the tank were there is a large opening in the rock and a little ledge protruding out. He sits there until the actinics click off. He will not come out until they go off. Then he will come to the top for me to feed him. This is why I can only feed him once a day. In the morning he goes behind all the rock and lays down. I can see his little "bed" through a hole. He just lays there and does not come out for the 10 hours the lights are on. But as soon as the actinics turn off he is out, with in seconds.. He just hovers in that hole waiting for the light to go out. So because of this I thought maybe just maybe I can get a starfish. But all night long he would have time to pick at the starfish. But then again he would be full because I just fed him..
Anyone else have any luck ever keeping a starfish with a puffer?

Oh yeah and if the starfish just doesn't have a chance then I was thinking of maybe a cleaner shrimp. What would the chance be he would survive?
