My new burrfish puffer loves mysis, but is too slow/shy to get much. So my lfs gave me these prawns(Unfortunately, I think they are freshwater) and they are about an inch long. He ate one whole one tonite and I think thats about all he can!
Are prawns ok? cause I think I could really fatten him up(see my pics of him below in burrfish puffer pics) on these.
I heard that krill is like crack for puffers...and we dont need 2 addicts in my house if you know what I mean.

Also, he wont touch clams on the half shell. Any suggestions?

I suggest feeding them a varied diet and when they refuse something then remove it . Try refeeding it a few hours later . The thing is when the fish gets hungry enough it will eat whats in front of it and stop being picky . As long as you give it what it wants of course its not going to eat other things .
If I could live off of Andy capps steak fries and mountain dew I would . But unfortunately The fiance does not buy it for me so I have to eat what she gets at the store .

Prawns are fine. Varied diet is fine, and Krill can be a valid part of this diet. Feeding Krill as a majority of the diet is a problem.
