Puffer help please

I just bought the smallest - maybe 1.5 inch Striped Dogface Puffer. Right now he is in a QT tank.
I have a BIG Porc. Puffer in my reef tank - yes, I know. I got lucky with him - I really did. I would like to attempt putting the new guy in there too.....he is way to small to do any damage to the snails - his mouth doesn't even open up that far - yet....
My question - will the little guy learn the habbits of the big guy - or will I be in huge trouble when he gets bigger? I do another tank that the new guy can go in......guess I just want to push my luck.

i wouldnt do it, but there still is a chance he doesnt rip the little one apart

Honestly - I am not to concerned about my Porc. hurting him or them getting along. My Porc. is the best fish I have ever owned. 70% of the things he lives with he should eat......I am taking 30% off for the rocks and sand :)
My main concern is the new one destroying things when he gets bigger....or will he learn to be just as mellow as the other one........

well uve got corals rite? (as if i need to ask...) he may nip them, regardless
