Will a stars and stripes puffer get along with a porcupine puffer and a picasso trigger?? All of the fish are about 3-4 inches long...
Thanks.

I have heard people say, no you shouldn't put two puffers together. However, I have seen lfs have more than 1 in a tank.
I think the bigger concern is their compatability as they grow or when they are adult.

Just because your LFS does something does not mean you should (remember, they are there to push product and often have little knowledge on the animals they house).

Thats not true. Most fish stores do know what they are talking about. They do not mislead you. How in the world would they stay in business??? If there livestock is dieing how in the world does that help them?????? If there costomers are unhappy how does this help there business????????

I dont buy it. I work at a fish store and thats not how it goes down. Its never that easy and its just a head ache for the fish store. Its in no ones best interest.

We have small porcupine and small stars and stripes in same tank get along fine. Plan on getting 200 gal when they get bigger just started agressive tank.

I used to have a porcipine and a panda puffer (Masked puffer) in my tank. I had no problems at all, but all fish have different personalities so I guess you just have to try it see how they get along. Really no other way to find out for sure. I don't consider puffer's to be agressive, only towards snails crabs, and corals. I think you would be fine.

If you work at a fish store, why are you asking questions in here then???

Some fish store will mislead you, not saying all, but some!!!

I have also heard that only one puffer per tank, but with your 125, I think they would be ok. Not trying to flame you, but it's just my thought. :happyfish
