Puffer Trouble

Hi all,
I have a stars and stipes puffer about 8 inches long and he won't eat. I had him for about a month now, and he will just pick at the krill, minnows, silverslides etc. and will spit them out. Do you have any suggestions?

Does he end up eating the pieces he is spitting out? Puffers are notorious for "enjoying" their food by chewing it up and spitting it out several times until they finally keep it down. If it is not eating the scraps then try feeding it a live food (preferably ghost shrimp although they might be too small for an 8" puffer) and normally that will entice it to eat frozen food. Just feed live once and wait several days if it still won't take to frozen foods.
