Puffer?!? yes, no?

ok, i have a 50 gallon, with a baby picasso trigger and a yellow tang, they get along fine. and i was wanting a puffer, what type of puffer would yall reccomend? i am a puffer lover, and want one for my 50 gallon. what yall thinkz?

Pufferlover will tell you that triggers and puffers should not be put together (I hope I am quoting you correctly Pufferlover! ;)
I guess triggers go after their fins to avoid the spines. You may get differing opinions on this question, but I don't think they are supposed to be in the same tank. Some people will do it though!!

thanks for the correction goldfish! i never even saw there was a trigger in there. puffers and triggers dont mix. one (usually the puffer) ends up dead. bo

goldfish; You quoted me perfectly thank you. As many times as I have told my Puffer, Trigger story here and elsewhere that same question comes up. Part of it is what I see even at my lfs where they will put Puffers with the Triggers since they look good with each other and they figure to sell them before the problem sets in. I will say tho they only do that in their 180 tank not the smaller ones.

I remember reading your post just yesterday about how puffs and triggs should never be put together.
