Puffers?

Has anyone tried to put a Hawaiin Spotted Puffer or Valentini Puffer in a reef system tank? With shrimp? I've read that they are "reef safe, but moniter with shrimp" but I was just wondering if anyone has any personal experience. I love puffers but have a cleaner shrimp and a couple corals and anemones and don't want to risk anything....

my brother tried to put a valenti in with his coral banded. I'll let you guess which one survived. so, I probably wouldn't risk it if you have inverts. that's on ly one experience, so let others answer you.

My experience is limited other than my brief owning of a porc and a lot of reading. IMO- puffers MIGHT coexist with dwarf lions, other puffers, and "off limits" longtailed fish. They will NOT coexist with crabs, shrimp or reef inverts. They are just too hungry
