Can Puffers be kept together????

Depends. I have a porcupine and a stars and stripes in the same tank. At first (6 months or so) they did great. Now the porcupine will attack the stars and stripes quite frequently. I am in the midst of a move and setting up tanks..within a day or so they will be seperated. Puffers can be aggressive...even the toby's. Just like any other fish I suppose...some are nice...some are not. If I were you I would assure a back up plan if the proposed does not turn out.

A lot like Tangs, they can usually be kept with other puffers not of similar size and shape.
So let me make sure I understand..Should I get smaller puffers of a differnt breed? Or same breed? Ex would a porc tolerate another smaller porc or should I get a dogface or other?

I would keep a dogface by themselves.. they are extremel aggressive as adults.

I have a Porc in my 75 now, but just doing some planning and research for a 200 i'm getting 1 in Feb.
Even in a 200 you are probably pushing your luck. I've seen it done in larger tanks 300+ with mature fish. But never seen it successful under that size.

Thanks I kinda figured. I don't think it's worth the risk. Not with so many other options.

By similar shape/size I mean for example you cannot keep a Dogface and Stars+Stripes together, they look very similar. Nor should you keep a Valentini with a Toby. Also, keeping 2 of the same species is not a good idea(2 dogface for example). Porc and Dogface should be fine if you had a large enough tank for them(they both get huge).

A porc is the puffer I would just avoid mixing with other puffers. Even in 200gal+ tanks they've attacked larger dogfaces before.

Not really IMO. Humas/Bursa/other Rhinecanthus
triggers are really the only ones that should live in a 75gal for a while. Other trigs either grow too fast or are too active for a 4' tank.
