Pulsating Xenia

I have noticed that many of the tenicles on my Xenia have grey spots. I have never noticed this before. What are these spots?

Hard to say without seeing them but some xenia appears spotty down their stems too.

Look closely, they could be flatworms and big trouble.

Not flat worms. The spots look almost as if they are inside. I have two different stalks. Only one has the spots. The other is fine. I will try to post a picture.
