pulsating zenia vs powerhead

so i bought a new zenia yesterday and in came detached from my rock.. THen floated up pto my powerhead got chopped up pretty good. stalk is entact. will it live?

I do not think anyone can reliably say one way or another.
I will say, there are many stories of xenia recovering from the smallest of pieces.

Use a thin string, and tie it to a rock in a decent light area. I had one get stuck just like that and all I had left was a tiny piece. I strung it to a rock and I now have a jungle of them.

very tough coral. as with any softies, any piece of tissue can grow into a full coral.

Oh, and by thin string I mean the kind you use for sewing buttons, for example.

yup itll be fine, youll probably have 100 more colonies now after it chopped it up and spread it all over your tank. Hope it doesn't run rampant in your tank

They are a pretty tough coral. I have a frag that fell off of a rock that I cant get to. It is behind a big rock, I can see it, but cant reach it. It is doing great. I also have a hippo tang that like to pick at them too. SOO I thank yours should be OK.
