My local store has what they are calling a Pulsing Blue Jelly fish. They know nothing about it and I have not found any info on the web. This animal has the bell shape of a jelly and swims like one, constantly moving. It's color is more of a brown-blue. with short fat tenticles. Does anyone have any knowledge of this creature or what the real name is so I can find some info?

not sure but jely fish are very sensitive and usually need a species only specially designed tank to keep them long term. I would pass on it. as far as what species I really couldnt tell you there a 100's of species of jelly fish out there

Definitely want to set it up as a species only tank. And they have special needs. There have been several threads on jellyfish tanks - which are typically called Kriesel tanks. Special flow - no corners - no substrate or rock. Most will be beaten up in short order by pumps, currents, rock, sand, etc.

could be an "upside down jelly". pic below..

they are about 2 inches or so. i had 2. if thats them, they die extremely easy due to powerheads, overflows, filters, pretty much any kind of directed waterflow. i wouldn't recommend them unless you have a tank designed for jellys.
