Pulsing xenia

Hi everyone,
I have had a xenia in my tank for a few months now and it looks like it is going to split off into 4 sections. My question is the "trunk" part is looking kinda funny. I dont know how to explain it....kinda lumpy instead of smooth. Everything else looks great with it. The top looks good, it is still "pulsing". Anyone have any ideas?

If it is still pulsing I would not worry about it. The weird look probably has somthing to do with it splitting.

Mine just got through doing this. The "trunk" got lumpy and deformed and the next thing I knew I had 4 xenias instead of two.

It's growing!!! You'll have more than you payed for soon.

Yep, the lumpy part is a sign that new sprouts are growing.

I purchased a single stalk of pumping 40 days ago. It has now split into three stalks and is splitting again. I also noticed when it does this that the stalk goes from smooth to bumpy. Thats lots of reproduction in 40 days, now I know why they refer to this as a weed.
