Pump Advice

I currently have a Aqua Clear Pro Wet Dry system on my beginning reef tank. The wet dry filter with the skimmer works great. I just don't like the pumps that I have powering the filter. They seem overly loud. I believe they are too from Aqua Clear (CAP ? pump) but I was hoping to get some feedback on what is the quietest pump out there right now. Thanks.:happyfish

You could try a quite one or a gen-x. Caps are almost the same thing as a RIO, I had one quit after 6 months.

Nope, I run externals only. Submersible sucks. I run a Iwaki40. You'll have a much better selection and performance if you install a bulkhead and pipe it to a external pump.
On another note, the skimmer that comes with those 2 in 1 units is a poor performer.
