Pump and lighting question

Hey everyone, I move into my new apartment next weekend and want to start my 180 just after the new year before classes start again. Now I saw this "Gen-X" pump at mt LFS and was wondering if anyone has had any expierence with these? It says it can do 1190 GPH at 11.5' Does that sound right? And would this be enough for a 180 with a protien skimmer and a couple more extras down the line .. If not what kind should I get?
Next, are there any kind of bulbs for that crap strip lighting that comes with the all-glass tanks that will promote any type for coraline growth? Thanks a lot everyone.

dont have any exp. with the genx pump but i have a 180 with a mag 12 running up to 4.5' and it works great. i think youll find most people like the mags on this board. remember though that it is a submersible.

As to the lighting are we talking single bulbs? I suppose that you could get 40 watt bulbs in the actinic blue and that could start your coralline aglea but I don't think you would be happy with just one blue bulb. I had really good coralline aglea with only 80 watts before.
