love my mag 9.5 don't know against an eheim but sure kicks a RIO's cheap ass....

A second vote for mag9.5 - mine is unstoppable! My buddies' eheim just crapped out on him and he is replacing it with a mag also.

I'm a Mag fan. It's the only pump I've ever needed after my RIO 2500 died in less than a year. My Mag 7 has been running perfect for almost 3 years now and I think I've cleaned it twice.

The Eheim's a much better pump.....I think they top out at about 900 gph, correct?

never had an eheim, but a have 2 mag's and they work awesome (mag9.5 and mag24)

Just got a mag 24 to run my Nautilus 48''skimmer.
Thing has a 3 year warranty.
Must be good.
Never used an eheim though.

I have both mag 350's and Eheims. They both have their advantages. If you need a great micron filter go for the Magnums. If you need a good all purpose filter, the Eheim wins hand down. IMO.

I have a eheim on my DIY calcium reactor. And one for a refugium. They are MUCH quiter. It doesn't even hum.
I think they are pretty comparable other than that.
Ofcourse, the eheim is german made. So if you use their cars to compare quality of craftsmanship, the eheim wins!

I like the MAG. Had my MAG 7 for over a year with no problems
