I just set my sump up today, and was just wondering...if your pump stops working, isnt your tank basically gone? How long do pumps last and do you have to replace them every few years or something? This is kind of scaring me.

it's called an overflow box for a reason. If ur pump fails, it's no different than a poweroutage and ur overflow box will keep ur tank from overflowing in the sump
