Pumps and return pumps

Hey all I received my MR-2 skimmer a couple of days ago and am now looking into some pumps. Seems that I will be needing a pump to shoot water into the skimmer and of course, a return pump. I plan on having my skimmer inside my sump as some people have told me it works better in sump. On the other hand, I plan on having the return pump outside the sump. My tank is a 140 with dual overflows and I plan on having a 30 gallon sump. Some noise from the pumps won't kill, but not too loud. Can yall shoot me some suggestions on what pump would be a good pump for taking water into the skimmer and what pump would be good as a return pump? Thank!!

The skimmer pump will depend on what will fit ur skimmer. Mine works great off a Maxi Jet 1200.
As for external pumps, I recommend the Sequence pumps. I LOVE mine. They're quiet and VERY energy efficient. Make sure you get one with salt water seals.
Iwaki's are supposed to be good also. Never had one, but lots of people recommend them.

Off thread....Hey Chris, what problems have u had with sequence? just curious so I can look out for potential problems. I haven's had any problems with mine and love it.
