pumps

I'm about to throw out all of my Rio pumps. They're a royal pain in the butt. Half the time they won't start after being unplugged for maintenance. Is it just bad luck or do others have the same problems? If so does anyone have any recomendations for other brands of pumps. (Sump return, protein skimmer)

Well first as return pumps, I would suggest MAG Drives, pretty cheap, reliable, pretty quiet and powerful. And second, protein skimmer pump vary from skimmer to skimmer, what skimmer/s does it need to power?
