How quiet is a dolphin 3000 series amp master pump compared to an Iwaki pump? I currently have an Iwaki 40 for my 450 but it doesn't pump nearly enough to give good circulation. I realize most of you don't have large tanks but you may know things about some of the better pumps that I don't. I was thinking about the Iwaki 100 but I am not sure if it would pump enough water for a tank like mine. what are your thoughts about the right pump for my tank? I need high volume so I can get some of the power heads out of the tank to reduce the heat. I am running right at 80.5 degrees and I would rather run at 78 or 79.

thanks big mac, I didn't know the fittings on the dolphin was so large my returns are 3/4 inch and the overflows are 2 one inch over flows which i estimate are good for 700-800 gph each. do you see a problem with the dolphin pulling too much from my 120 gal sump?

I use a dolphin pump, works great so far, no leaks, restarts fine, going on 7 months up now, tremendous flow,
