Puppy Question

So I am getting rid of 30G tank and all of its contents because I have to move to Boston in a month. I have been offered my pick from a litter of CKC registered boxers in exchange. I have owned dogs in the past, but always gotten them from the SPCA or pound. Here are a couple questions I have for puppy people.
1. What is CKC registered mean, full breed?
2. How much initial money is involved in initial shots/meds/etc.?
3. How soon after being born can the be on their own?
4. How hyper/trainable are boxers?
5. How much would a puppy like this cost if I went to buy one?
I know some people on here have boxers so any advice you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

CKC; Canadian Kennel Club or Continental Kennel Club. Not sure which you are getting involved with. Any dog registered with one of the KC's is "generally" a safe bet to be a pure bred animal.
Initial vet bill will run between 150-200.00 depending on the dog's health. There are mandatory vaccines and follow ups within a few months. If you have the ears cropped (and I hope you don't) figure another $100-150.00. Spaying/neutering is also a cost.
6-8 weeks with 8 being better IMO.
Having had two boxers, they are an outstanding breed. Very excitable (hyper is a good word) but extremely intelligent. They (and you) will do best with strong initial training and socialization. This is a strong willed dog but hard to beat as a companion/protector/loyal pet.
Cost varies by breeder. IMO/IME $600 would be a good deal for a pure bred pup with good lines. 1K is not out of line. You can pay more if the dog is show quality. If you want a pet, tell the breeder. Some breeders will grade the pups in terms of physical characterisitcs (show/pet).
You will love this dog!

boxers rock!! I grew up with them and now I have an aging one. Great with the kids. She's very smart. Strong willed --- o yes. Active --- she is 11 and has pancreatic cancer but still romps like a puppy on good days. Most boxers that i've dealt with do not respond well to negative reinforcement. Males can be dog aggressive if not socialized early. They are full of personality.

boxers are awesome. I have a boxer-lab from my older brothers full bread brindle boxer after a neighborhood dog came in his yard. (literally
) Shes excitable as all get out, her mother even more so. But at the same time out of all my friends (they copied me after they saw I had a dog) mine is definately the best behaved as well as trained. I can put it in time out aka the corner, when she does something bad and she waits for my command before even thinking about attacking her food bowl. She is a good dog. You will love your new boxer. The lab visits are expensive but thats with any dog.

I have 3 boxers with 8 pups on the way!!! Boxers are incredible dogs, they don't smell, shed hardly nothing, one of the top ranked dogs to be around kids, they are a quiet dog - they like to watch, Yes, they can be hyper.
AKC and CKC paperwork is a joke, breeders all over the US use papers from one dog on another dogs pups, there is nothing to prove papers go with a dog. The only need for papers is if you want a show dog, then you need to add a decimal point to the purchase price. I own a chain of stores dedicated to holistic pet health and deal with dog related issues everyday, including adoption, rescue, training, nutrition, breed types and temperment..
