purple fire/ fox face

Is it normal for my purple fire fish to hide when my fox face swims by? The purple was there first and the fox isn't aggressive. Is it just the bigger size? My gramma did the same thing at first but now isn't as skittish around the fox. I did my research and everything said fox faces where peaceful except w other rabbit fish. So will the skittish behavior fade? Thanx

Yes, its natural defense mechanism. Big eat the little, in time it will realize the foxface is no threat.

Yeah mine warmed up after a few months. But they are probably one of the more skittish fish I've ever had.

Fox Faces are very peaceful I have one I love him they are skitterish but they need other fish to swim with so your fox is probably trying to make friends definitely wait they will be ok

That explains why he hangs w my mandarin lol he doesn't get spooked by um lol

ok today the purple is out again and eating. still a bit skittish but getting better. also the fox eats like a pig!!!!!! lol great begginer fish lol not picky eaters. seaweed,brine,mysis,pellets. anything i fed my other fish he swam rt over and was eating. very happy i got him.

yes I meant to tell you the fox eats like no tomorrow but I wouldn't feed him pellet lots of nori or seaweed strips

The sea weed iam not. He was a bit thin when I got him so I wanted to get him eating. I just didn't think he'd eat everything.pellets I usually only feed a few to give my fish the extra nutrients. I wasn't really giving them to him. My clowns and gramma like them he just came over and snacked too. He always eats. If not from me he's grazing on LR lol iam not sure but I even think he was eyeing up the copepods i put in for my mandarin. Lol
