Purple Lobster VS Mantis Shrimp

I was reading through old posts and seeing threads with people saying they are trying to get rid of/capture an unwanted mantis shrimp...
I'm wondering, would the purple lobster be up to the job?

It depends on the species of mantis and size of both. If the lobster killed the mantis you are still stuck with an opportunistic predator that can be equally hard to catch. A lobster will prey on inverts AND fish which will generally be ignored by smasher mantis', more common hitchhiker than spearers .
