Has anyone had one or know anything about them. I really like the look of them and would add something to the bottom or my tank.
I have a 65g FOWLR, I am also planning on having a Cleaner Shrimp dont know if this will cause problems.

I have one that I bought about a year ago at 1". It is currently almost 3 inches. They are really colorful too. Sounds awesome, makes you wanna get one, right?
You will never, and I mean never ever see it. I only see mine because the cave under the rock that he lives in doesn't have much sand in it and I can see him from the bottom of my tank if I get under my tank stand. The only other time I interect with him is when I feed him a piece of krill from a skewer. I hold it out in front of a hole in the rockwork and all I'll see is a flash of purple claw with orange little hairs shoot out and take the krill back into it's cave of death. I'm not trying to dissuade you from getting one, just letting you know what they do. I actually enjoy mine even though I don't see it much, but other people might not like buying something and then never seeing it.

I have 2 large CBS and a small cleaner and everyone gets along as long as "Butter" the Lobster gets fed regularly.

I had one, within 10 minutes it ate my mandarin. I know many people that have lost fish due to them. They're pretty, but you will never see them and your fish will slowly start to disappear.

Okay cool, I have a cave similar to what you described so that might actually be pretty cool.
Also are they known to hide or is there a chance one might come out in the open? Not to worried about this just wondering.
Thx

They won't come out in the open, unless it's pitch black. IME.

Yeah, I have one myself. He was a hitchhiker on a piece of live rock I bought. I only realized he was in the tank some time after, when I was night feeding. I have just moved my tank in the past couple of weeks to another room in my house. When I took out the rock he was there. I put him back in after the move, I am now thinking I shouldn't have. You never see them, usually not even at night and if you do, it's only for a second. Now that I am thinking about it, If I didnt have so much rock in the tank, I would probably pull him.
