Purple Mushroom

I got a purple mushroom that came on a rock. Does it need to be feeded???

It will reproduce like crazy too. So find some friends who want them and be ready to give them out as stocking stuffers. I got a tiny one from somenone when I started my current tank about 18 months ago and now they are everywhere and I pull them out and give them away to everyone who walks down my street.
