Sorry, this was mistakenly posted in the equipment forum originally.
I have purple algae (red algae?) growing on my LS bed. It doesn't appear on rocks, heaters or anything, just specific spots on the sand bed. Hermits, snails or my Lawnmower Blenny don't help at all, nor do H2O changes. Occassionally I will scoop it out when I get too stinking frustrated from looking at it, but it just grows back within a week and in the exact same spots on the sand. Water parameters are great, any suggestions?
