i was wondering how they behave because im seriously thinkin of getting one.i just dont want it to kill my fish.what do thery eat?how big do they get? <img src="graemlins//urrr.gif" border="0" alt="[urrr]" /> <img src="graemlins//confused2.gif" border="0" alt="[confused2]" />

I have had one for almost 8 months now; unfortunately, I never see it. It is extremely reclusive! Consatantly hiding. Maybee it comes out at night :rolleyes: I simply do not no. I know it is alive as I see the remains when it sheds itself, but that is about the extent of my experience with the reef lobster. Also, they apparently click (like mantis), so I hear it quite a bit aswell. Never had a problem with it and my fish, inverts, or softies. I think than reach a size of about 5".
My suggestion, put your money into something that you would derive more pleasure and interest from. TT

I too have one of these....I never see it, unless I shine a flashlight in the tank at night....It was very cool when I put it in the tank, the time it spent accumating, was the most I saw of it.

you will never see it! but they are cool for about two day's or so. book say's 4.7" :cool:
