Purple slime on my Zoos

So i baught these Zoos about a week ago, and they looked great from they guy i baught them from, however after a day in my tank purple slime was all over them. I saw that one polyp fell off also, i noticed that there isnt as many polyps as there were when i baught it. I had a lot of amphipods in them but i dont think it was them. I did freshwater dip the zoos for 5 mins and used a powerhead to blow all of the purple slime off. I did find some flat looking amphipods as well. Any idea how i can fix this problem.
My ph is 8.2
Salinity is 1.021
Temp 81-80
nitrite 0.
Ammonia 0
The lighting is a 48" Power compact
I have a super protein skimmer by coral life
A canister filstar xp4 filter.
I also use R.o Water Zoomax, and Phytomax.
Im getting some Blue Zoo's this week and dont want them to die any ideas.

So are you saying that after you got all the purple slime off it came back, or that they are just not opening, they are falling apart, or is it that the amphipod looking creatures are crawling all over them, they are now opening but you are concerned?
But what ever the case, sounds like they need to be under more flow as a start.

yea i moved them and the purple slime is gone :). The Amphipods were infesting them until i did a fresh water dip. They seem to be doing well now. However, they do seem to be deprecating a bit. I was wondering if the amphipods could have caused part of this problem.

THey may have been irritating the zoas but not eating the zoas direct, probably the slime or dieing flesh.

oh ok thanks very much i would hate to see them die due to my lack of knowlage. They are looking better.
