Purple tang 1 year old

got him at 2 inches hes now 4.
and FTS of my 125 reef tank.

Wow, your tank is AMAZING!! What fish do you have in there? I see the purple tang, blue hippo tangs (you can have more than one?), a firefish and percula clowns.

wow. thats a beautiful tang. purples are my favorite fish ever. too bad i have a 55... only had it for like two months and already want to upgrade.

How do your hippos do? They seem like they get along fine. You think i could do that with a Yellow and a purple tang. Add the yellow.. and then when its bigger add a smaller purp tang? I know it's tough to get it just right...especially for same genus tangs. Just wondering

i know someone personally wo has been in the hobby for almost 35 years ..he has a yellow and a purple in a 75 they are both 6 inches long and 5 years old they dont fight at all he told me it was very difficult and for years he had to remove them and put them back in to get it right so i would say only an advanced person should attempt this I wouold not do it especially not in a 75 but his 75 is 5 feet...i dunno the odds are favoring a huge problem stay away from attempting that. imho.

I had one that would torment my powder brown, had a pump die two weeks ago and it killed all of my fish... Corals and clams were fine though.

Very nice tank! Love the purple tang. Want one but I'm afraid to put one in with my yellow tang.

any tang from the zebrosema family will most likely fight till one dies..if you have enough LR and a large tank 3 yellow tangs can be done if introduced at the same time and monitored...i do not recommend imho that this be done with a tank at least 180 g
if you want the purple tang which is a beautiful fish try trading the yellow tang to you lfs or give it to a friend then get the purple tang that is what i did originaly.
