Purple Tang & red macroalgae.

I am cosidering a Purple Tang for my set up. I am, however, establishing a nice collection of red macro algaes. Am I dreaming, or would my red algae be left alone. Just wondering, if I fed the Tang a good green diet not to mention the tufts of hair algae that sprout about, would the red stuff not be desirable? TT.

Well, with a tang you're running that chance. Tangs love algae and will eat almost anything... It all depends on that certain fish. One purple tang might devour it all while another won't touch it. TJ
