Purple tang with ick

I noticed my purple tang with alot of white spots which i am sure is ick. I dont have a QT set up at the moment. I was wondering if a freshwater dip would solve the problem. If not are there any safe medications I can use. I do have LR and inverts. I also mix garlic extract with their food.

At best, a FW dip will only eliminate a few parasites on the fish. Ich infect the water as well as fish, thus, now your tank is infected with ich. Soon whatever fish you have will be infected with ich. The only 2 viable treatments are hyposalinity and copper.
What kind of tank do you have? You can perform hyposalinity in a FO tank.
