Well these have turned out to look nothing like they show on the website I bought them from but they have colored up to a nice bright orange with purple center.

Those vary much. The colors, thickness of the body wall, mesenterie count, width of actinopharynx, coenosarc type and foreign matterial embedded within can all play a part in proper identification.
Tell you what, send me about 5 of them and I will let you know what I come up with.

did you get them from zoafrag? I have heard horrible things about them. most of the stuff I hear about is that the polyps always die. And I dont know how they could have possibly mixed up those with what they have listed as purple truffles. either way though they look great.

Yeah I got them from ZoaFrag. Our growout order went horribly bad. Only 4 out of 12 frags ordered survived yet I had ordered 4 frags from there previously and all are doing well. He seems to be kinda hit or miss
Not sure I would order from there again which is a shame because he has some great looking zoas.
